About
Russian-Chinese Meeting on High Energy Astrophysics will take place during 25–29 August 2025 at Space Research Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow, Russia). The meeting will focus on a broad range of topics of theoretical and observational high energy astrophysics.
The topics include, but are not limited to:
- recent results from high energy astrophysics missions SRG, Insight-HXMT, Einstein Probe, MVN
- compact objects, X-ray binaries, accretion
- supernova remnants, hot ISM in the Milky Way
- supermassive black holes in the Universe
- X-ray emission from stars
- time domain astrophysics
- AI in astronomy
- future missions: Spektr-RGN, eXTP, HUBS
The meeting will be organized in the format of a workshop with scientific presentations and ample time reserved for discussions and informal meetings. We also envisage an extensive cultural program with further possibilities for scientific interaction.
The meeting is by invitation only, expression of interest along with the title/abstract of possible presentation should be sent to meeting2025@cosmos.ru
The working language of the meeting is English.

Travel information
Please make sure to book your flight in advance.
Participants are responsible for their accommodation. We suggest to consider the following hotels in different price categories:
We recommend booking the hotels on the
zenhotels.com website, which has an option to book with a foreign credit card. On this site one can also find a number of other hotels in Moscow. Please contact us if you need further assistance with a hotel reservation.
Please note that downtown Moscow, inside the Garden Ring, geolocation services may not work accurately. We recommend using the Yandex Maps app (
App Store,
AppGallery).
Transfer from the airport
Most airlines from China to Moscow arrive at
Sheremetyevo International Airport. Below we describe several ways to get to Moscow.
-
Take a taxi using the Yandex Go (aka Yandex.Taxi) service desk. The service allows you to pay in cash. You can also use the Yandex Go app (App Store, AppGallery). For this, you need to create an account with your mobile number. In the app, you can choose to pay in cash.
-
Take the Aeroexpress train. Tickets are available at the ticket offices or from ticket machines (keep your ticket until you pass through the turnstile to exit). The most convenient arrival point is Belorussky railway station, from where you can take the subway. The journey takes about 65 minutes and the ticket costs about 8 USD (600 RUB).
-
Take an express bus to Khovrino metro station, which costs about 5 USD (350 RUB).
Due to the recent changes in legislation, foreigners can not buy SIM cards in Russia. If you need internet access, please use public WiFi networks or activate roaming for your mobile connection. We will provide you with free WiFi access at the Space Research Institute.
Russia’s grid supplies 220–230 V at 50 Hz. Wall outlets use the round-pin Type C Europlug and grounded Type F (Schuko).
Details on the use of foreign credit cards in Russia will be provided closer to the event date.

"Kaluzhskaya" metro station. Exit 6
Exit to the right from the first car coming from the city center. After the escalator and the glass doors, go straight along the long aisle. At the end of the aisle, turn right and go upstairs. The long gray building in front of you, somewhat on a hill, is IKI (Space Research Institute). Profsoyuznaya Street is on the left, Obruchev Street is behind.
To come up to the IKI building, you need to get around the Rosneft gas station along the path on the right (towards the middle of the building). Then move along the parking lot fence to the main IKI entrance (A-2).
On the morning of the first day of the meeting, LOC members will meet you at several major hotels where most participants will be staying and assist you in getting to IKI.
